Colonial Family Reaction to Stamp Act Essay Wins Local Contest
Wade Samuel Cropper, a fifth grader at NICE School, won the local Buckeye District contest for the 2015 2016 American History essay on A Colonial Family's Reaction to the Stamp Act. The Mount Carmel Chapter NSCAR sponsored the state final hopefuls with 154 local essays entered. Cropper, son of Brian and Melanie Cropper of Mount Carmel, stood among seven state finalists.

4 H First Tag A Long Cloverbud Workshop
A Tag A Long workshop was held March 9 at the University of Illinois Extension office in Albion. Sixteen youth attended from 32 enrolled for the 2015 2016 year. The group made farm and fair animals from paper plates and created grass heads using chia seeds.
