The annual Christmas program will be presented at Zion's Lutheran Church on Tuesday December 21 starting at 7 00 P M. The event invites community members to attend the evening of song and festive readings at the church location.

The Lavaca county 1937 cotton crop totaled 26 192 bales by December 1, up from 8 354 bales on the same date last year. The Eagle received the data from Henry J Strauss Hallettsville county cotton statistician.
Ed Kolar, recently stabbed by a steel sliver while cutting tin, is improving under a doctor’s care. His wife Mrs Kolar and his brother Anton traveled from San Antonio to visit him on Tuesday.
The Moulton Grammar School will present its annual Christmas program on Wednesday December 22 at 7 30 PM in the High School Auditorium.
The Moulton Bobkatz defeated the Yoakum Bulldogs 59 to 20 on Wednesday evening. The Moulton second string beat Yoakum second string 17 to 10. Referees were Giesbers and Merrem.

A Community Xmas Tree and Nativity School program will be held at Dickson School on Wednesday December 22 starting about 7 00 PM. Admission is free and all are invited and welcome.

In Bedminster Bristol a teacher added laughing sessions to the daily routine. Students were amused by caricatures of gloomy faces and began lessons with cheer, improving mood and focus. The method spread locally and a Saskatoon school board member requested details of the experiment.
