A Mother's Day program is planned at Wesley Chapel next Sunday morning with all invited.
Mrs John McAninch and Jimmy spent a day at the Kelsey home while Beulah Dicks aided at the Lowell Turner house. Families including Argo, Beaty, Teater, Sheldon, Hiner, and McAninch gathered for Sunday visits, birthdays, and sick care. Several youths reported mumps. Local residents shared in family hospitality and school activities.
Mr gad ss Joh Ventanta and Gilms hosted Sunday dinner for Pais and Mrs. Jeff Patrick at Ghanne Bavely's. Ben Williams traveled to Alkia on the prior Wednesday and Thursday. Lowell Harris was in the vicinity on Wednesday. Mrs. Maree Ischman’s party spent Sunday in Rolmviie.

Urbana notes a warm dry day with Eddyville visitors at the Curg Mc Cay home. Sabbath School drew a good crowd as Ray Roberta of Prairie Chapel will lead services next Sunday with a basket dinner at noon and an afternoon program. Local residents, including Lawrence Ward and wife, Virgie Hunter, John Robinson and sisters, Henry Frits, Everett Rowley and family, Rev Pat Donahoo and wife, Charley Davis and wife, and Harry Cloyed with spouses, were seen visiting relatives and friends in Ottumwa Lovilla and nearby areas.
Mr and Mrs Lawrence Ward and Burdette were visitors in Culverville Saturday. A group of young people gathered at the Gomer Stocker home Friday to celebrate Cleo Stocker’s 16th birthday. Attendees included Gerad Irelan Lloyd Lockman Glan Lockman Maxine Lockman Marie Tomlin Kenneth Coltrain Jim McCumber Russell Tubaugh Ray Tubaugh Marie Thompson Larue Thompson Clifford Stocker Clea Stocker Fairy Stocker Gomer Stocker and H 8 McCumber. They and Otis Ballangay and sons were guests at Elmer Henderson’s Sunday. The party also visited Tom Drake’s home in the afternoon with Mr and Mrs Henderson Delene. Mr and Mrs Gomer Stocker and children called on Elmer Lockman Sunday evening. Mr and Mrs G B McCamber spent Sunday at Fred Coltrain’s. Ming Arlene Dodd spent the week with Lucile Coltrain.
Mrs Mary Benson visited with her mother and brother Sunday. Families and neighbors shared time at various homes including the W Eskelon, George Scott, W Tomlin, Fred Coltrain, Elmer Lockman, Proctor, and Coltrain households. Meetings at township house occurred Tuesday night and multiple courtesy calls occurred Sunday through Friday among locals.
Arthur Lewin and Herbert Lewin of Des Moines spent the weekend with Lawrence Johnson. Rich Williams and Ms Benson of Albia were called at the Ed Johnson home Sunday.
