The Monroe County Fair starts August seven and all livestock health papers must be completed beforehand. Health rules will appear in the fair book by July one. 4-H and FFA exhibitors should plan now for health requirements and contact the county extension office or local veterinarian for specifics. Wart control is urged with vaccines, cantering, surgery, or topical applications as practical. Dr M R Flickinger notes strict enforcement of health papers and certificates for the fair.
