Nelson Peer and family joined Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Henshaw for a Saturday evening. Janice stayed overnight and returned Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Free.
Tuesday and weekend gatherings feature the Lincox, Ballanger, Wilson, Kalvig, Donovan, Dungan and Wilson families. Visitors include Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Shields of Mt. Ayr, the Martin home guests Burl Naylor of Denver and Harry Daugherty of Cedar Rapids, and a Night Owl square dance in Albia.
Mrs. Ethel Lewley returned home Saturday after spending the winter in Ames. Visitors at the Lemley home included Dr. and Mrs. Larry Lemley and family from Ft. Dodge, and Mr. and Mrs. KK B Thomas of Vinton. Arlo Fenton and Mrs. Wilma Snyder hosted Sunday visitors at Corydon for Mrs. Susie Booth, with several Des Moines residents and Debbie Framness of Sheffield in attendance. Additional callers gathered at the Earl Fenton home, and other locals visited friends in Betwendart.
A list of visitors and events centered on Hiattsville and area includes Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rose of Longmont Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Merril Hiatt of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Carol Brees and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Van Zante among those visiting Lite Hiatt’s home. Attendees also include Wayne McDanel, Mervin McDanel, Gene Yates, Becky Yates, Roy Dooley, Pat and Larry Heffron of Centerville, Ted Clark home gatherings, Eva Hiatt sale, and horse show participation in Albia with Leta Pettibone. Additional notes mention Alan Dooley at a Sunday dinner with the Roblenz and Jerry, Rick Long and Janice Porter from Davenport, and visits by Cyril and Max McDane in Moline amid graduation celebrations for granddaughter Joelien.
Ottumwa called Saturday morning at Chris and Stella Bogarts. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Boblenz and Jerry and Virginia Coulter were supper guests Friday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hiatt and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Daniels and sons took Lawrence to Camp Dodge Sunday. On their way home they visited Dolan Hiatt at Booneville. Flo and Delmar Hiner called Sunday at the Chris Bogart home and went to the Bethel cemetery and called at the Francis Bogart home.

New daughter Jwie Renee joins Mr and Mrs Bill Long. many relatives attended gatherings in Clear Lake, Des Moines, Altoona, and Center Valley. Family members, farm visits, vacation bible school, and church activities are highlighted.
A bridal shower for Miss Sandra Whitehead was held Friday evening, June 2, at her aunt Mrs. B. F. Whitehead’s home. About thirty guests attended with hostesses Thelma Calhoun Dick Brown and Sibyl Whitehead directing pencil games and yellow and white decorations at gift and tea tables.
Mrs Dick Brown reports visits and gatherings in Vosburg. Richard Callen and family from Quincy Illinois spent Monday night with Edith Callen. Several families including Dicks Clayton Christy and Whitehead-related groups attended events and birthdays.
Eunice Ogden and Dale Cox enjoyed a Saturday in Moravia. Constance Thompson joined Sally White Ed ith Callen Doris Christy and girls for a Saturday supper. Mr and Mrs Pearl Srosiar visited Russell Brown’s. Merle Shorts family of Des Moines stayed at George Hinehart’s. Wayne Christy family attended Aubrey Christy’s Sunday evening. Pearl Broshar and family were Sunday supper guests at Dick Brown’s. Jennifer Dunham arrived to visit grandparents and attend Bible school.
