4-H Camp Development Across Iowa Expanded
In 1950 funds from 4-H clubs across every county supported the purchase and development of a state camp. The site was winterized to serve as a year round 4-H headquarters. Three villages are complete, with the third adding space for 100 campers after purchasing 62 more acres in 1955. A concrete pool replaced earlier swimming at Boone, and Appanoose County 4-H’ers have used the facilities for five years.
