Centerville man, longtime local business figure, died leaving four children two grandsons and two sisters Mia May Caylor Udell and Zoe Pollock Wis among survivors. The Wednesday club held its annual Christmas party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Faber with Dee seven teen present. After a covered dish luncheon the group sang carols exchanged gifts and enjoyed games and visits. Centerville visitors Rex Angel Art Martin Marion Fisher and Mrs. John McGee plus several other locals were noted among attendees and callers.
The Union Township community records multiple visits and gatherings. Families including Cox, Boyer, Alden, Main, and Hoffmen hosted relatives and friends across Moravia Ottumwa and Bloomfield with church visits, a Golden Wedding anniversary, and a heart attack incident treated at home.
School will present their Christmas program at the church Tuesday evening December 23. John Andrews died at his Unionville home Monday evening. He is survived by a sister, Miss Bell Andrews of Unionville.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jennings of Marshalltown and various families visited friends across town. Delbert Calhoun and sons, Raymond Perry and Richard, and Edward McCord hosts hosted 4 H and Shanghai club events at local homes and churches.
