Salem Church History at Moravia Iowa Chronicles
A historical account traces the Salem Church of the United Brethren in Christ west of Moravia Iowa from its 1857 organization with charter members to the construction of the 1860 frame church, its 1881 replacement, and long service by a succession of ministers. The piece notes land, cemetery, and descendant connections among Funkhouser Hiner Main and Johnson families and details circuit appointments across surrounding communities.
