Moravia paper published weekly by H KE and W T Smith at Moravia Appa noose County. Subscriptions available: one year in advance, six months, three months, and single copy prices listed. Entered as second class mail matter under act of 1879.
The piece argues the Washington police and federal authorities acted properly in dispersing the so called Bonus Expeditionary Force. It notes President Hoover's Congress appropriated 125000 to transport marchers home, but many remained, took government property, blocked buildings, and resisted removal. The author condemns mob rule and urges government firmness.
Rollie Carter and family agent Sun day visit at the Wim Underwood home in Unionville. Harold Wright of Moulton is visiting with Mr and Mrs F W Wright. Mrs C G Davis sprains her ankle but is improving at this writing.

Lloyd and Glen Lockman hosts include Clif ford Stocker Cleo Stocker Fay Paxston Leo Paxston Roger Gideon Jim McCumber Chares Guimer Gene Tahaugh at Stocker and Henderson homes.
Stories of pioneer life recount the 1864 lynching of John Seaman after arson and horse theft suspicions in Franklin Township. After Seaman was seized by a mob, he was later found dead from gunshot wounds near Fyffe’s farm. no legal action followed.

Several locals including O B Miller, 10d Smith and wife, and Wm Giltner and family were Alberts callers recently. Dorothy and Wilma Boardman spent Wednesday at M Boardman home. Maurice Lillard and Dale Smith unloaded a car of lime for Clark son farm last week. Lea Stafford departed Friday for Kansas City to take employment. Mrs Flora Lillard visited with daughter Mrs Earl Smith in Leon Iowa. T S Thompson family and Loren entertained at Smith Giltner home. Mrs Frances Robinson and children jeened. Howard Robinson visiting in Oktmme a few days. Harris Stafford visited with friends in Indianola. Blanche Thompson departed for Fort Worth Texas. Edgar and Clarence Wilson were business callers in Albion. Tromer Newburn was a caller in Moravia.

Local social news includes visits by Geo R Darby and wife to Mrs Sarah Hoadley, the Wilson reunion at Carl Cloyed with about fifty attendees, and brothers Russell Roy and Donald Darby traveling to Madison Wisconsin for their uncle Gen Clough's funeral amid unclear passing cause.

Blakesburg residents win a surfaced No 213 gravel outlet after political effort. About thirty trucks haul gravel from the Des Moines river near Chillicothe, with six weeks expected to finish. The north road is popular and locals expect relief from the dusty path.
The author of State Par used proceeds from the book sale to purchase nearly 400 acres of farm land. En route from Fairfield he reportedly saw three black bear cubs by Cedar Creek, an uncommon sight in the area. The note appears in the Milton Herald. Hiteman pedagogs certificate revoked for immorality and neglect after the superintendent failed to appear at a hearing. The Monroe County court house hearing led to the revocation by County Superintendent Ethel Roberts. The Albia Union Republican notes. State Education Boards buys Iowa coal. The State Board of Education awarded contracts for 90,000 tons of Town coal, surpassing last year and reducing Illinois coal by roughly 10,000 tons, per Hugh Lundy of the Iowa Coal Institute.
