In Moravia the council members O C Easter Paul Spencer Wm Gardner Don Wolf and Ivan Walters with the Booster Club outlined a year of progress. Fourteen new street lights cost 1200 to be turned off at midnight while residential areas stay lit. A road program will cover 54 percent of rock and oil for 8000 to create blacktop streets. The Union Farmerettes 4-H met at Paris girls with Melinda Hull leading the pledge. Officers reported no treasury figures. roll call tallied ten members, five guests, one leader. Pledge by Melinda Paris. talks by Barbara Kelley on design elements, Jana Cleaver on posture, Karlena Paris on perspiration, Melissa Hinote on pattern finding, Michele Hopkins on pattern panel, Barbara Kelley on pinning and cutting, Sheri Hinote on stay stitching. Moravia High School students in the science club elected Alan Tisue as president Randy White head as ice president Susan Spencer secretary treasurer and Lonna Rolin reporter. They conducted their first meeting April 20 and discussed activities and fund raising plans for expansion next year.
Robin Teresa Young daughter of Robert and Janice Young born January 5 1958 in Centerville. She enjoys Mrs Fick Home Ec English pizza and the film Time To Run. She looks forward to graduation and favors a student lounge. She values happiness over wealth and plans to attend college to become a youth counselor.
Robert Wayne Schneider, 18, born January 4, 1958 in Kirksville Missouri, is a high school senior with a passion for chorus and photography. He plans to join the Navy after graduation, values friendship, dislikes arrogance, and hopes to travel to Hawaii. His favorite teacher is Mr Tapper and his favorite idol is Clint Eastwood. He hopes to continue taking sports photographs and enjoys detective and crime films.
Paula Jean Hopkins of Unionville is an 18 year old senior with brown hair and blue eyes. She looks forward to meeting new people after graduation and says she will miss microeconomics and roaming the halls. She recalls a playful moment about putting Mary in the dryer. Paula enjoys TV and sewing in leisure time and prefers meaningful movies. She likes work involving people and bills herself easygoing. If today were the last day she would do everything she wants. wealth and power are unnecessary for a good life. She plans to attend Iowa State University in Ames after graduating.
Julie Kay Seals, brown haired blue eyed daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Haver, was born at St Josephs hospital Centerville at 1 55 pm on December 28 1957. She lists favorites including bookkeeping Mrs Ellison meaningful movies macaroni cheese and peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. She feels mixed about graduating and plans to stay on the farm and raise a family after graduation. Julie describes herself as fairly easygoing with a fake temper and enjoys walks or listening to music in leisure time. She holds happiness above money and respects those who stay true to themselves. Benny Goodman is cited as one of her idols.
