About 49 to 50 farmers met at the Farm Bureau office Monday to oppose a plan by Commissioner of Markets Charles L Elwood to run wholesale and retail markets on the same day. They urged separate days, passed a resolution, and expressed willingness to pay a small market fee while vowing to work together for the common good. The commissioner is expected to report his plan to the Common Council soon.
