Howard R. Wickham of Breeze Hill near Johnson was struck by Houston and Texas Railway Train No 3 at the Houston avenue crossing about 2:40 PM. He suffered a head wound, ankle fracture, internal injuries, and a scalp wound. He was taken to Thrall Hospital, conscious and under care of Dr. T C Mills. The auto he rode in was wrecked, about 125 feet from the crossing. Conductor Hoccomer stopped the train at once.
