Mrs Peter Flaherty of High View receives War Department dispatch stating Corporal James Flaherty died of wounds in France on November 27 at age 24. He previously re enlisted and served in Co 1. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters. Two brothers Corporal Frank Flaherty of the 42d Balloon Company FF and First Sergeant William P Flaherty of the 25th Field Artillery Camp McClellan Alabama also served. Other brothers are Thomas Flaherty and John Flaherty. Sisters are Mrs Daniel Cody Mrs Frank Ware and Miss Anna Flaherty.
