A Franklin County Municipal Court jury acquitted Fred Wu of practicing medicine without a license after he diagnosed an investigator with arthritis. Several jurors then said they wanted lessons from him, while Wu, who runs Dr Wu's Kung Fu, argued he is a Chinese arts teacher.
Census Bureau data show 25.9 million people in poverty in 1975, the highest since 1967, with 12 percent of the population living below the poverty line. Inflation eroded buying power despite an $818 rise in median family income to $13 720 yearly.
Ohio State coach Woody Hayes made a chicken pose and chased an official in the final moments of the game. The Buckeyes lost 22 to 21 to Missouri in a surprising upset.
