German Township rezoning plan shifts to larger lots in Germantown
Developer Ron Weidle asked trustees to rezone 102.8 acres at Ohio 4 and Eby Road from agricultural to R-3 residential with 15,000 square foot lots and 80 foot frontage, up from initial R-4 plan for 7,500 square foot lots and 60 foot frontage. The proposal envisions 203 lots, fewer than the 253 possible under R-3, with sewer from Germantown trunk and a county water district. Trustees tabled action to next meeting for legal review while community officials voiced mixed support citing impacts on tax base and industry needs.
