Susan Perkins Wins Miss America Talent Preliminary in Atlantic City
Susan Perkins of Ohio won the second preliminary talent contest at Miss America in Atlantic City with her rendition of Good Morning Heartache earning a 2000 scholarship. The 23 year old Miami University graduate thanked supporters including her parents and sister as about 8000 attended at Convention Hall. Other preliminary winners were Bonnie Holbert Miss Arkansas and Lynda Moore Miss Tennessee with two more winners to be named tonight before the top 10 finale tomorrow night.
