Governor DiSalle Deliberates On Re election Deadline
Ohio Governor Michael V. DiSalle said he has not decided whether to seek another term. He will announce at Friday’s cabinet meeting whether he runs or not, after receiving about 300 letters urging a bid and no opposition letters. He noted Lt. Gov. Donahey’s views on budget cuts and education funding, and said Donahey’s stance could influence his decision. Man Rescued After 10 Days In Boxcar
In Weed California a 51 year old itinerant Patrick Kelly was locked inside a boxcar for ten days without food or water. Police Chief David Dawson said Kelly was very weak but in good condition after being found by box factory workers who opened the car to load it. He had boarded a Los Angeles to Oakland bound train on October 8 and the boxcar door latched shut. The empty car sat on a Weed siding since October 13.
