Butler County Health Department seeks five-year levy
Most Butler County voters outside Hamilton and Middletown will vote on a five-year three tenths mill levy for the Butler County Health Department. The levy would raise about $150 000 annually and allow ongoing operations plus new programs without higher fees, per Health Commissioner John Harvey. A deficit looms without passage and the department has begun an ambitious five-year health care upgrade plan.
