Springboro City Council Plans Street Lights And Budget Steps
Springboro will require street lights in future developments under an ordinance approved last night. five 21,000 lumen CG&E lights near Ohio 741 and 73 were authorized with an extra 7,000 lumen light removal. CG&E will upgrade older 2,500 lumen lights to 7,500 lumen at no extra village cost. Council also discussed airport expansion protests and staffing changes for the mayor's court and clerk-typist positions.

Butler County Building Contracts Rise 48 Percent in Eight Months
F W Dodge reports Butler County building contracts in the first eight months of the year exceed the 1975 level by 48 percent. Total contracts through August reach 93.8 million dollars, up from 63.4 million a year earlier, with nonresidential work driving the gain. August contracts total 7.1 million, up 56 percent from 4.6 million last August, led by nonresidential construction.
