Milan art museum robbed again stealing most Impressionist works

A gang of three or four masked armed men breached the Milan museum of modern art today entering via a second floor window without an alarm. They overpowered four night watchmen and took more than 30 paintings by Cezanne Renoir Van Gogh Modigliani Corot and others. The February theft at Grassi Gallery saw 28 works valued at 1.5 to 3 million dollars.

Ohio Senate approves equal return school aid formula

The Ohio Senate approved a basic state aid formula to raise state funding to 50 percent and guarantee equal dollars for equal local tax effort. The plan passes 26-6 after hours of debate and moves to the House. The measure raises teacher salaries from 6400 to 8900 by 1978-79 and ties state aid to local millage, with a 20 to 30 mill range covered and a 30 mill cap.
