Officer seeks permanent status at Lebanon Correctional Inst
Hamilton correctional officer Terry Theiss of Catalina Mobile Home Park Peasttown appeals to Butler County Common Pleas Court for a court order to remove probationary status and grant permanent employment at Lebanon Correctional Institution. Theiss asked the state Personnel Board of Review in Columbus to reverse probationary placement after reinstatement following an unsatisfactory performance finding. The board initially removed him, then reinstated him on probation. He challenges the probation placement.

Police report two people injured in a collision at Roosevelt Boulevard and Highland Street. Carolyn Adams, 27, of 508 Meadow Lane Trenton drove east on Roosevelt and Floyd Coning, 57, of 1912 Carolina Street North on Highland. Damages estimated at 400 and 500 dollars. Coning treated and released at Middletown Hospital. Adams also injured.

Teenagers Hurt in One-Car Wreck on Greentree Road
Four Middletown teens were injured in a one car accident on Greentree Road at 12:05 a.m. Ronald Mills, 18, of 11 Arcadia Drive, was admitted to Middletown Hospital with facial cuts and abrasions but released.
