4-H quilting party boosts countywide Jubilee efforts
At the Butler County Fair Paul McDade of Darrtown leads a county-wide 4-H quilt project to mark 75 years of 4-H. Twenty clubs contributed quilt squares including dog horse cooking livestock and rabbit clubs. The quilt is to be completed by August 28 and auctioned at the fair. Kathleen Zehler and Dave Reister serve as queen and king during the week.

Monroe Garden Club Wins Sweepstakes at Butler County Fair

Middletown Girls Sweep 4-H Horse Show Titles
Kathy Budrus and Susan Jones won multiple divisions at the Warren County Fair 4-H horse show over the weekend. Budrus captured Western novice showmanship and Western horsemanship for ages 9 to 12 with Mina Bar, a Quarterhorse. Jones won saddle seat showmanship for 13 and over and first in bareback with Lo Twilight, an Arabian.
