Diver survives 18 foot shark attack near Pt Conception
Robert Rebstock, 23, UC Santa Barbara student, was bitten while abalone diving with his brother and two roommates about 400 to 500 feet off Pt. Conception. The shark lifted him out of the water then dropped him. he suffered lacerations and puncture wounds and says it felt more like a mouthing than a chomp.
