Woman dies as balcony collapses during rescue attempt
In Boston a 19 year old woman Diana Bryant died of multiple injuries after the iron balcony she and her goddaughter stood on collapsed five stories to an alley. The child Tiare Jones 2 was in fair condition after rescue. Firefighter Robert ONeill avoided the ladder to aid them. Six firefighters were overcome by smoke in the three alarm blaze. About a dozen residents fled unharmed.
