Van hits horse in dark. wife killed in Utica crash

Michael Marble swerved to avoid a white horse but struck a second horse that wrecked the van. Linda Marble, 23, mother of four, was killed when the animal crashed through the windshield. Summit on oil planned by OPEC ministers

In Algiers the oil exporting members of OPEC agreed to meet with customer nations and plan a summit in four to six weeks to present a unified stance. Space panels may restore sight in blind patients

Gainesville researchers at the University of Florida say synthetic eyes modeled on space vehicle light panels could restore vision for some blind people. Dr. William Dawson notes a six to eight year path to a full artificial retina, using 50 000 to 100 000 photovoltaic cells to stimulate retinal nerves and form image signals for the brain.
