Domestic brand prices rise by an average of fourteen cents with imports up twenty three cents. Increases range from five cents to one dollar thirty. Wholesale price hikes average fourteen cents on 139 domestic brands and nineteen cents on 34 imports. Kessler blended whiskey up from four dollars eighty five to four ninety. Six retail and six wholesale prices fall on February three including King George VI Scotch dropping seventy cents per half gallon from twelve eighty.

Chessie Crews Return to Work After Six Hour Walkout

Railroad crews resumed work on Chessie System lines in Ohio following a six hour walkout that started Monday in Chicago on the Burlington Northern over a contract dispute. Pickets demonstrated at Chesapeake & Ohio terminals in Toledo Columbus Fostoria and Cincinnati and at Huntington Charleston Peach Creek West Virginia and Russell Kentucky.
