Man convicted in Butler held on new charge
A 37 year old Cincinnati man Charlies Flannelly, convicted in Butler County, was arrested in Newport Kentucky after a gun battle while attempting to burglarize a cafe owner's home. He, with Joe Kuhnman from Norwood, fled Middletown during the December 1946 incident and faced arraignment after being captured with cash and a list of cafe owners. Flannelly pleaded not guilty yesterday.

Hotel Burns In Canital One Killed
A four alarm fire near the White House in Washington killed one man identified as W. O. Kockox of Cleveland and injured Harold Sill, 49, of the Potomac Hotel with second and third degree burns. The blaze, confined to the top floor of the six story building on Pennsylvania Avenue, was controlled after about an hour. Sixty people were registered in the hotel at the time.

Five Escapees Still At Large In Texas Break
Six of eleven Texas convicts who escaped after disarming and binding their guard on a wood cutting detail remained at large. Trains Kills Woman In Baltimore Area Collision

Four eighth grade truants from Troy Ohio stole a private plane belonging to Robert N Hartzell and piloted it for about two hours over central Ohio with two co travelers.
