Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan indicates the cabinet may soon present a formal disengagement proposal in Geneva. He met with Secretary of State Kissinger, who called talks constructive and useful as U S hopes for progress toward an Egypt Israel agreement.
The report describes Saturday clashes near Ismailia Fayid and Qantara in the Suez Canal area with no casualties on either side. A UN observer note followed an Egyptian artillery exchange at Suez edge Port Taufiq and a reply by Israeli forces. Two Israeli soldiers were wounded. no Egyptian casualties reported.
