Unclaimed Funds Return From Ohio Statewide
Ohio Commerce Director Dennis Shaul announced 74 unclaimed funds checks totaling 13 661 were returned to residents and estates statewide from forgotten bank accounts policies and charge accounts. Among recipients were T Eugene and Cariene Ault of Lebanon estate beneficiaries in Hamilton and Lebanon with amounts 11 49 185 42 and 219 44. Residents urged to check county courthouse posters and state liquor store lists and contact the unclaimed funds section for claims.

Beechwood man pleads guilty to bad check charge
Charles E. Patterson, 23, of Beechwood, pleaded guilty to passing a bad check written Oct 29 at a Preble County Montgomery Ward store. The judge referred him to adult probation and set sentencing for January.
Four Middletown men placed on probation for larceny
In Middletown four men pleaded guilty to petit larceny from a November 24 robbery. Danny L. Neal Donald Wells Jimmy Wells and William Neal Hi were placed on probation. One man was ordered to serve 15 consecutive weekends in jail. The crime involved a billfold watch lighter and cash from Joseph Massengill. The suspect said bad checks totaling about 350 dollars were passed with his wife involved. The case was handled by local prosecutors and police.

Driver Fined And Jailed On 2 Traffic Charges
