Tutoring Program Helps Teens and Younger Children

Warren County launches the Youth Development Program to keep teens from dropping out while aiding fourth to sixth graders. Thirty-two high school tutors at Franklin Hollywood, South Lebanon, and Waynesville assist with hands on activities, trips, and crafts, earning pay only in some centers while four girls and four boys per tutor guide students in cooking, camping, and factory tours. The program, directed by Lotz since November, faces potential closure if next year’s appropriations fail.
