Drys Win Most Local Option Votes In Ohio November
In the November 4 election Ohio voters favored dry outcomes in 43 of 58 wet-dry contests and won 25 local option races for dry status. The drys carried 16 of 24 3.2 beer tests and both liquor by the glass contests. Eight counties rejected all petitions. Wet areas cluster in cities, while rural regions remain mostly dry. Windham and nearby areas show how a single permit can remain unaffected.
