Midwest City High School Future Homemakers of America organized a Christmas drive inspired by Debbie a nine year old who wrote Santa and Jesus asking for food clothes bedclothes and a tree. Sixty two girls collect and deliver meals clothes and toys to local families and continue year round.

Youth fights lion with knife in Colorado attack
A 14 year-old boy was mauled by a mountain lion while snowshoeing near Rye Colorado and fought the animal off with a hunting knife. The youth Thane Morgan of Pueblo was bitten on the scalp face and hands but walked to a mountain lodge and was taken to St Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo. The female yearling lion was later shot and killed by Mike Steele 22 of Rye who found tracks. Wildlife officer Stan Ayle called it extremely rare for a mountain lion to attack humans.
