On opening night of bingo at Clinton Street and Vail Avenue, seven people were arrested for gambling and operating a gambling house. Police seized bingo cards a master tally board and the bingo number device along with tables. Franklin man charged in two shooting at Dee's Spot Tavern
Earl D. Collins 44 of 2790 W. Ohio 122 Franklin was arrested by Franklin police and charged with two counts of felonious assault after two men were shot at Dee's Spot at 540 S. Main St. Flutty D. Officer Sues for 100000 Over Traffic Crash Injuries
Butler County Common Pleas Court suit by Patrolman Donald E. Wallace seeks 100,000 against Eileen Bowling for injuries from a January 9, 1974 traffic crash on Orchard Street. Wallace says his patrol car was hit by Bowling and knocked into another car, causing abdominal and back injuries. Bowling faces charges of speeding and failing to observe a safe distance.
