Blind Cincinnati woman wins $750000 malpractice award

Nancy Ungar, a 23 year old Social Security clerk from Cincinnati, won a $750,000 malpractice verdict against Cincinnati Jewish Hospital for blindness caused by oxygen exposure at birth. About $250,000 will cover legal fees, with the rest to her. she plans to keep working.

Ford half brother Leslie King dies in wreck west of Lebanon

Leslie Henry King 53 Ford half brother died when his auto collided head on with a tractor trailer loaded with pipe on Interstate 40 about 54 miles west of Lebanon Tennessee. King was alone and killed instantly. Vehicle operator Billy Hudson uninjured. Witnesses said King had been driving the wrong way for miles and radios tried to warn him. King a Cookeville resident, auto parts shop owner and hunting guide, had contact with Ford during campaigns and politics in Tennessee.

Saxbe rules out 1978 Ohio governor bid

Former Ohio public figure William D. Saxbe said he has no plans to run for governor in 1978 while aboard the Queen Elizabeth II returning to Ohio.
