A cold front moved through the area with showers possible tonight and a low in the 20s. Afternoon high near 46 and warming into the 50s by morning. Snow flurries possible tonight. Friday brings partly cloudy skies with a high in the mid to upper 30s. Saturday to Monday show a chance of showers with highs mostly in the 40s and lows around 30.
Seven of Cleveland's 14 public high schools closed as unpaid teachers boycotted classes. About 11 of 28 junior highs were also closed, affecting roughly 19 000 students and 907 teachers. Some elementary pupils sent home as district fights over finances continues.
