County OKs Voting Machine Purchases Amid Uncertainty
Hamilton County commissioners approved five resolutions to buy voting devices for a potential November use but a 20 day waiting period and lack of unanimous vote delay final planning. The measures include 300 booths 150 metal carriers 380000 in notes and a five year lease for tabulation equipment. Reiff dissented and the board moves toward obsolete existing machines while paper ballots may continue.
