Two Dayton men indicted in Conn. motorist slaying
Dayton men Joseph L. Deavers and Thurque C. Thompson, already jailed on other charges, were indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on murder and robbery in the May slaying of Connecticut motorist Joseph DiPino. The case could yield death sentences if convicted. DiPino, 56, of Ansonia, was shot after his car was sideswiped on I-70 in Wayne Township. His wife Caroline, 57, witnessed the robbery and murder and later helped identify a suspect.

Five CB Radio Thefts Reported To Police
Middletown police logged five separate CB radio thefts reported yesterday. Items taken include radios valued at 300 200 210 200 and 78 dollars from various residences and a trailer, with additional gear such as an eight track player radar detector air compressor and tools stolen from different locations on Thursday into Friday.

Poisoning blamed on salad at archery tournament
John Kennedy, Butler County health commissioner, said six were treated Friday at McCullough Hyde Hospital and released. Four or five more were treated later. six or seven others had upset stomachs and diarrhea but did not seek care. Hamilton man indicted in deaths
Butler County grand jury returned 20 indictments including two vehicular homicide counts against James E. Ping of Hamilton for the July 3 deaths of Sandra Woods and Tracy Williams.
