Former Middletown Postmaster Hilbert Martin Dies at 75
Hilbert H. Martin 75 longtime Middletown postmaster died Saturday at Middletown Hospital after a six day admission for a heart condition. A native of Middletown he joined the Post Office in 1911 and served in various roles before becoming postmaster in 1945 retiring Sept 30, 1955. He is survived by two sisters and four grandchildren. Requiem High Mass will be at St. John’s Church with burial in Woodside.

Franklin cyclist injured in hit and run crash
Franklin police say a motorcyclist Leonard was struck on S River Street at 7 20 p m by a hit and run driver. A man named Steve Baker 25 of Miamisburg was arrested after his car damaged a yard and clipped a house while attempting to turn into an alley.
