Walkout by Mansfield anesthesiologists over insurance
In Mansfield Ohio seven anesthesiologists at Anesthesia Associates refused to work nonemergency cases until they secure at least 2 million dollars in malpractice insurance. Twenty five operations were canceled at Mansfield General Hospital and People's Hospital of Mansfield as talks with St Paul Insurance Co. continued this week. The group plans a meeting with about 600 peers in late April to push for arbitration of malpractice suits and a set fee for workers compensation losses.
