Miamian Airman Killed in Kansas Car Crash
Sgt. Conley Williams Jr., 22, a 1951 Booker T. Washington graduate, died in a Wichita crash near McConnell AFB caused by a blowout during lane changes. Three other servicemen, his girlfriend, and a wife of a party were seriously injured. Funeral held at Israel Bethel Church. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and other relatives.

Memorial Day Week End Mishaps Claim Two Miamians
Among Miamians who boosted the toll over the Memorial Day weekend were 21, of 2051 NW Goth St and Albert Jones, 40, of 2020 NW Third Ave. Turner was killed when his car hit a pole at Hamlin Drive and S Dixie Highway. Turner's body was shipped to Mississippi for burial. Mrs. Helen E. King, a Goulds teacher, was arrested as driver of the car Turner rode in. Jon, swimming with friends at Vic Beach, vanished and was found dead later. his body was sent to Lake City for burial.

Leroy B. Cooper a former Times compositor died early Tuesday at Jackson Memorial Hospital after three months illness. He was 37 and a Liberty City figure, son of Ella Smith.
