Silver and Linen Exhibit Honors Morris Family in Mexico
Martha Ophelia Holt donated a nineteenth century exhibit of silver and linen tied to Judge John Bingle Morris and J. D. Morris to Audrain County History Society. The items reflect early Mexico life, including slaves linen, Morris household pieces, and a family story collection spanning from 1836 settlement, postmaster tenure, and Civil War era divides within the Morris lineage.

DAR to Meet at Historical Museum Mexico Chapter
The Mexico Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet September 2 at 1 30 p m at the Museum. Mrs John Waggett regent will preside over the business session. Mrs Linwood Martin will give the national defense report and the program will be presented by Miss Gary Guthrie and Miss Jolene Meissert, both Mexico High School students. Hostesses include Mrs Denver Hudson, Mrs JF Covington, Mrs John Sonwalt, Mrs Dobyns Barnes and Mrs W P Marion of Centralia.
