Olympia Fields approves kilowatt hour based utility tax calculation
The Olympia Fields Village Board unanimously adopted a shift to a kilowatt hour based utility tax calculation to maintain revenue neutrality. The change, developed by the Illinois Commerce Commission, affects Commonwealth Edison, Northern Illinois Gas, and Ameritek bills and takes effect in October for residents and January 2001 for non residents, with expected revenue around 90 thousand dollars.
