Village Board approves four year terms for trustees
The Village Board of University Park granted preliminary approval to an ordinance raising trustee terms from two to four years. Final action is expected September 22. The move responds to a November 1997 referendum which passed 54.5 percent. The change ends midterm elections every year and aims to save money while allowing longer project oversight like the new municipal complex.
