Valuable Suggestions on Wool Packing and Tying Methods
Justice Bateman & Co. warn wool growers and western dealers to ship wool in good condition. Use soft twine with flesh side out and avoid sisal or binding twine to prevent wool damage. Do not mark sheep with paint or pitch as it hinders scouring. Pack washed and unwashed fleeces separately where feasible, especially east of the Mississippi.
