Plucky Merchant Held Off Burglars at Round Grove
Lavavertre Indiana January 19 three burglars entered Edward Dolfin’s home at midnight and then attacked his store. Dolfin recovered consciousness and fired with a shotgun wounding one burglar severely. The others shot Dolfin in the arm but carried away the wounded man who left a long blood trail indicating a likely fatal wound.

Heard from Harmon Missing man found in Adamsville hospital
George Harmon who disappeared December 24 from George Wade's farm south of the city has been heard from. He is in a hospital at Adamsville, Pa., with injuries possibly requiring amputation of a leg. Harmon, unmarried, had worked at a logging camp in the Alleghenies for Gallatin Brothers of Richville. He fractured his leg when a log rolled on him on his first day. He left the area without telling relatives where he was going, and his continued absence sparked local talk.
