Marshall JV Bowlers Win State Tourney in Battle Creek
Marshall High School juniors Tom Stefan and Blaine O'Dell led the team as they captured the Michigan High School Bowling Conference Jr State Tournament in Battle Creek held March 9-10 at Ken Notke's Roll. The squad earned team trophy, plaques, and scholarship money after a nine-match Baker format, with four Marshall bowlers advancing to singles play.

Kindergarten Meeting Date Set for Marshall Schools

Marshall defeated Traverse City 341 to 314 to claim top honors as Tony Biggs and O'Dell lead the scoring. O'Dell, Stefan, Ahmond and Biggs posted a 158 to TC's 122 in a tight start, with Marshall building a 36 pin edge. Hutchings praised Biggs for tracking shots and enabling optimal lineups during the match play, while Stefan advanced to finals despite a thumb injury. Hackett Construction of Battle Creek sponsored the team entry fee.
