Treasury raises War Savings limit and notes 1919 series
Announcement from the Treasury states the $100 cap per person on War Savings stamps is removed and the hold limit altered to match the 1918 $1,000 rule. It also notes a $1,000 limit applying to the 1919 issue and reports total receipts and maturity value of stamps prior to the Liberty Loan drive. Corn husking prices fixed by the state council of defense are six cents per bushel with board, seven without boarding, aiding labor in Illinois amid favorable weather for harvest.
