The October Altar and Rosary Society meeting at the Catholic Men's Center opened with a prayer led by President Mary J. Vaughn. Traveling bingo awarded prizes to DeSutter, Hammer, Woiwode, Vaughn, and Borwski. door prize went to Jack Woiwode. Refreshments served to numerous members and guest Janette Paschke of Calumet City.

Marcella Meyer RN formerly with the American Red Cross stationed in Texas during the polio epidemic has been transferred to Grand Island Nebraska and ordered to report to Red Cross Headquarters in Peoria on October 20. She will return home by plane for a short visit Saturday evening before leaving for her new assignment on Monday.
