Memorial Address and Local Church News in Lynden
Rev. Charles Baker delivered the Memorial Address at the Baptist Church last Sunday. Improvements on the Baptist Church are nearing completion with a new pulpit hand crafted by Rev. Baker. A son was born Friday to Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Tremain. Lyn den Y P U members visited Ferndale for a Whatcom County session. The next Lynden Y P U meeting will be held on Labor Day. Lynden service men are invited to an American Legion picnic at Ferndale on June 18.

Thirty five pupils from Lynden grade school achieved perfect or near perfect attendance. The list names students from first through eighth grade, with overall school enrollment at 343 and high attendance percentages ranging from 95 plus to 97.8.
