Laura Holland aged 89 of Lubbock will have services at 4 p.m. today at Sanders Memorial Chapel with Rev. Curtis Tickinson officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery. She died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday in West Winds Care Center after a long illness. Survived by three daughters Ferne Holland Amarillo, Mrs Roche of Lubbock, and Mrs Le Gryes of Wichita. five grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services are planned for Wilsey S Hutson of Whitharral at 2 p m in Whitharral Baptist Church with Rev Kenneth Harlan and Rev Wayne Williams officiating followed by burial at Starkey Cemetery in Nocona. Hutson, 50, died after a heart attack at Cooke Memorial Hospital and is survived by his father and a brother. Separate note says Clarence Leo Oldham's body was moved to Belton for funeral arrangements pending at Heartsfield Funeral Home. A board meeting June 6 7 includes rail user discussions and committee meetings at 9 a m and 4:30 p m.

West Texas Boys Ranch in San Angelo will elect new directors and officers at the annual board meeting in the Ranch Student Center. The Charles E. Davidson Jr. Award will be given to the county contributing the most to the ranch operating fund in 1972. The 563 acre facility, 17 miles west of San Angelo, founded in 1947, cares for more than 800 boys since its founding and currently houses 72 youths.
A second cold front spurred violent weather across Texas and central Oklahoma. A tornado damaged Union City Oklahoma injuring five, with a church and grain elevator hit.
